SECRET WAY
In the summer of 2017, when Pierre and Florence welcomed us to their house in Metz in the French Moselle, the bikes were outside. In the garage, which has been converted into a cellar, there is room for the press, where the juice ferments secretly. It all started in 2015 with 1,000 bottles of Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Four thousand bottles this year.
TRAVEL WINEMAKER
Pierre Andrey, a former medical equipment consultant, always whispered about his wine in his free time. His obsession with becoming a full-time winemaker led him to a unique approach. He fell in love with natural wine and decided to become a travelling winemaker. Pierre's process is unlike any other. He buys organically grown grapes from winemaker friends in different regions of France, Alsace, Beaujolais, and Jura. He drives his van to their Domaines and back to make pure wine in Metz without using chemicals and sulphur. This unconventional method is a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft.
PURITY CALLS
On a dozen acres behind his house, he experiments with Pinot Noir, always striving for purity in his craft. Like a sculptor, Pierre captures aromas in a unique Dame-Jeanne of 66 bottles. He works like an ignorant man to let nature do what it intends. He knows that the scents and flavours of natural wine can be complex. Sometimes mild. Sometimes hard. The acidity is always surprising. To make the miracle of wine succeed, he takes his time to respect the earth, plants, and fruit. His wines reflect this patience and respect; he adds nothing and removes nothing, aiming to preserve the grapes with their history and the region.
WARM-UP
I remember the adrenaline rush when we first tasted Pierre's wines at a salon. He had put some bottles under his coat—bottles with two currents. Vinea Florens are more velvety and give themselves sooner, and Verba Pampinea with great intensity and subtlety. The wines were profoundly complex and full of umami, incredibly digestible with lots of freshness, rare finesse and elegance. We mainly prefer the micro-cuvées of Verba Pampinea**, where the terroir speaks surprisingly, meditates and lets energy flow for the proper warm-up. The surprise and admiration for his wines were palpable, sparking a new level of excitement and intrigue among the wine enthusiasts.

EDMOND AND GUSTAVE
In the meantime, two sons were born, Edmond and Gustave. A new cellar has been added, and the wines have also increased in their stunning beauty. These are all unique wines that are sought after worldwide. The admiration speaks for itself. Pierre's wines have not only grown in quantity and quality but also in their recognition in the global wine community, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his craft.
