Temperamental
PANORAMA
Nicolas Dedouits, a sound engineer by training, found himself drawn to a different kind of artistry. His journey took him from the bustling streets of Paris to the serene vineyards, all in pursuit of a singular dream to make wine.
OLIVIER CAMUS
After meeting Olivier Camus, who in Paris in the 1980s was one of the first bisto owners to champion natural wine, the film 'Histoires des vins Naturels' was born. Olivier introduced Nicolas to a complex and diverse world where the stories of winegrowers unfolded, each unique. The filming commenced in 2015 with Kestu Production and was completed in 2020, and premiered in 2023 at the Publiciscinemas in Paris. Winegrowers, portrayed in the documentary, contributed bottles of wine to support the Panorama project. This support from the winemaking community, including Mathieu and Camille Lapierre, Moses Gadouche and Pascal Potaire, Thierry Puzelat, Marc Pesnot, Jean-François Nicq, Alexandre Bain, Bernard, Florent and Romain Plageoles, Jean Baptiste Menigoz and Florien Kleine Snuverink, the winegrowers of Estézargues, Dominique Derain and of course, Patrick Corbineau, is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the winemaking world. This spirit unites us all, fostering community and shared passion.
PATRICK CORBINEAU
Nicolas, fascinated by the vineyards and captivated by the physical power and energy of the work of the winegrowers, now also tries to bring excitement to wine and is particularly touched by grapes that others have no interest in. His unique approach to winemaking, combined with Lili's passion and creativity, sets them apart in the industry. They especially prefer the Loire, a region known for its diverse terroir and unique grape varieties, which perfectly align with their vision of winemaking. They have found the right place in the picturesque village of Candes-Saint-Martin, just around the corner from their good friend Patrick Corbineau. Their vineyards spread out over small plots in Beaumont-en-Véron, and recently, there was a new cellar where even more dreams come true.
LILI LIBRE
Don't ask Lili about her biography, but how she managed to captivate Nicolas with her Spanish temperament over a good glass of wine. Lili is a young, passionate woman with innovative ideas and ambitious plans. She seizes every opportunity, lets energy flow, can move mountains, comes up with unconventional plans, dares to dream, and enjoys life with a lot of discipline and a healthy dose of ambition. She is highly critical and has impeccable taste. Nicolas and Lili named their first wine Lilibertad, a reflection of Lili's spirit, libre. In short, they strive for freedom in life and in wine. Lilibertad was an instant success due to Lili's unique character and significant influence on the winemaking process. Her role in the success of Lilibertad is a testament to her fascinating character and her potential to create many more beautiful wines in the future.
