Ideal wine experience

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Cyril Le Moing from Anjou is a figure of controversy, curiosity, and warmth. His passion and talent make him a distinctive and envious winemaker. The taste sensations in his sensual wines have deeply touched me. With their certain dignity, the Chenin Blanc and the superb Grolle Noire, a grape threatened by survival, offer a unique and close-to-ideal wine experience. The balanced Gamay Le Ponge, as pure as gold, is an intrigue.

DIGESTIBILITY
Cyril's pursuit of purity in winemaking is unwavering. He seeks the pure, the natural—one hundred per cent. This dedication to quality is something to be appreciated.
The soil and location are of essential importance. Cyril wants to give his grapes energy and give them a healthy status. They must appear in the cellar with a good feeling, healthy and energetic. He strives for pure fruit and the right acidity. Both are of essential importance. In addition, he seeks purity, viscosity and natural elegance. These kinds of sensory sensations largely determine his wine. First of all, it is a question of nature. And, of course, of craftsmanship. Striving for a pure and clean taste is possible by strongly limiting the yields. Digestibility is paramount. That is what it is all about. That is the essence, the tone.

COTEAU DU LYS
His strength lies in the 3 hectares of vineyard divided over three plots. Thouarcé, Aubigné and Maligné. Without a driver's license, he cycles back and forth from the cellar to the vineyard. His sublime Vignes Centenaires Coteau du Lys is next to the famous Les Nourrissons Vignes Centenaires of Stéphane Bernaudeau.
Whenever possible, he leaves for Cancale in France to his bosom friend Olivier Roellinger of Les Maison de Bricourt, with whom he shares a love for Japan.

JAPANESE LOVE
Cyril even married his great-love Naomi there, and you can guess three times where his Loire wines go. We are happy that a few bottles still come our way every year. What Cyril makes is unparalleled.
